I am doing an experiment for Science class, "Which stain remover works the best on a permanent marker stain: Tide, OxiClean, a Store Brand, or a home remedy? Please help!

I've heard of spraying with hairspray, then bar soap and scrubbing it with a toothbrush. I've also heard of spraying with aftershave and scrubbing with toothpaste. I personally haven't tried either, but they should be harmless enough assuming you're just testing on scraps of cloth.

i have to advertise a new pet stain remover. I can't come up with any good names. Please help! What is a good slogan too?

I have a 6 month old puppy and we now have drak spots all over the carpet in places that he has peed and we have "cleaned" up with 8in1 Pet Stain remover. It SUCKS! We need a steam cleaner and good pet stain/urine/odor remover that works. Arm& Hammer doesnt work. Resolve is a pain. I need something easy to use and very effective. If it really works I dont care how much money it is. I hate the way my carpets look.

Nature's Miracle - hands down the best. It's also great at getting grease spots out of carpet. It's an odor neutralizer as well. If the cat vomits, it comes in handy.

I am mixing 1/4 oxyclean with water to make a stain remover, should that water be hot? I tried using hot water yesterday, but it fizzed over the top of the spout. I heard you use really hot water with it, but I'm not sure. One more thing, should the water in the washer be hot too?
How do you make a paste?

for a paste put in in a bowl and drizzle water in to ot as you stir it up — then a paste should form — rub it on your stain — works very well !!!

What should I use to remove sweat stains, and sperm stains?
It washes off with the sheets, but how do i remove the stains on the mattress?

Oxyclean makes a pretty inexpensive spot remover that works great…also if you can possibly do this (I do this with my mattress on warm days. I drag them outside and give them a good cleaning with a solution of equal parts vinegar and water…for the tough stains I use a stain remover…works great and deodorizes the mattress.

Tip: Keep an old bed sheet on the side that has to lay on the ground. Let it air dry outside…the sun will sterilize it as well as the vinegar.

Also to keep your mattress clean…invest in a mattress cover.

What is the toughest stain remover for clothes? I have a stain that just WON'T come out of my cotton oxford! I don't even know what it is! It's been there for almost a year! Wash after wash after wash and it's still there!

Dawn dish-washing detergent. I kid you not, try it, I was amazed.

I need a stain remover for a gel or jelly type candle. it has left an oily stain on a chair seat. the candle gives off a perfume when burned. not sure what it is made from.

Try eucalyptus oil, it is a great grease and oil remover. put eucalyptus oil on a cloth and gently dap at the stain. it should come out fairly easily if the stain is new, if it has been there awhile you may have to try a few times until the stain is gone after the stain is removed clean chair with fabic cleaner and all should be back to normal. It is probably a good idea to test the eucalyptus on a piece of the fabric that you dont see in case the

So this is a totally odd and random question, but I have a set of celadon green crackle finish stoneware dishes from Target. They looked really great when I first got them, but with use they have developed black stains along the crackle lines in the glaze. I’ve washed them by hand and in the dishwasher so I know they’re clean, but they look dirty. Does anyone know of a way to remove the stains without damaging the finish?

Try a little liquid bleach. Let it sit, then rinse.

Well, my dog urinated and I am having "company" over in 2.5 hours, is there a way to clan it up and dry it fast without a stain remover… does a vacuum cleaner help at all?

wipe it up with a damp rag, then spray some windex or glass cleaner on the stain. lol trust my. it works… might take a bit of scrubbing, but it gets the job done.

What is the best stain remover for set in stains? I have a 20 month old daughter and she is very active and in result her clothes are full of stains I pretreat them with shout (spray) but it doesn't work. I have also used shout advanced and no luck. So if anyone has in other suggests I am happy to hear them. Thank you.
